One of my male friends was raped by his older girl friend while he was spending the night at a friends house. She was his first serious girl friend, but he was sort of a boy toy to her. He tried to tell people what happen, but almost no one believed him.

I have done research on the topic, but am still a little confused as to how I can help him. I know that the most important thing is for me to let him know that I believe him, but what else can I do? He has a very hard time trusting anyone and has started lying compulsively. He says it is to keep people out, but I don't know.

I was sexually abused, but the people I told believed me straight off so I don't have any experince with having people not beilive.

Also if any male victums can help me to understand what he is going through I would appreciate it greatly. I know that he is going through a lot of what I went though, but I also understand that some of it is very different because of they way girls and guys are treated by society.
