I am still struggling

I hear about healing and putting it all behind you but at age 55, my 9 months of abuse at age 4 are like yesterday. I have struggled to be a normal woman and have achieved much but the "thing" is always there. I only told my husband the whole sordid story last year. My parents were clueless and blamed me when at age 35 i told my mother. Mother was still friends with "it's" mother and didn't want to mess up their friendship. Angry? HELL YES. even now i want to hit something while just writing this.
