Know that you are not alone. You aren't a victim, you are a survivor. You don't have to press charges if you are not ready, and don't let anybody guilt you into it. Pressing charges is a huge step and it is your choice, and your choice alone. |

My girlfriend was raped repeatedly by her neighbor when she was 5 years old, her family moved and he found her later and abused her again for a couple of years. I met her when she was just starting to realize that she didn't have to give in to him anymore. She told me a story once about how he came to her house and she pulled a knife on him and told him to leave. She has never seen him since. The point of my story is don't just give in, fight for yourself and stop the pain before it is too late. |

Although I am not a surviver myself, I have a friend who is, and everytime I hear the story I wonder how she made it though. This is such a serious subject, but feel that it has shaped the person that she is today. It only made her stronger, and with her strength she has helped many people through. Just know that I feel for each and everyone of you, and support all of your efforts in aiding to get the word out. |

I was sexually abused by a family friends' daughter when I was very young, luckily I do not remember any of it, my mom told me of how it affected my behavior as a child, being anger all the time. I want to show my support of points with purpose. I also want to show support for surviors, and to let them know that they are incredible human beings, and to never lose hope or faith, because things will always become better. God Bless.
